If you are a basketball junkie and the BIG3, NBA free agency and summer league still are not enough to sate your summertime hoops appetite, add The Basketball Tournament to your roundball buffet.
The Basketball Tournament (TBT) is a winner-take-all event that features a 64-team field spread across eight regions,( one of which is the famed Rucker Park) supremacy for which will be hashed out in games that are played in the last two weeks of July. Multiple regions will be populated by alumni teams of college and platers that fans of the sport or those institutions will recognize.
“This year’s field is electrifying. Nine years ago, we set out to be the home for high stakes, open-to-all basketball, pitting people against one another from all walks of life. This year’s field demonstrates how far we’ve come. It is exceptionally diverse and talented. I can’t wait to see what team wins six straight games.”
TBT founder and CEO Jon Mugar
